Virgin tries to lure me; I say yes

by Neil MacLean on April 15, 2007

Virgin Trains is trying to entice frequent flyers onto their carriages with a tempting offer. Submit used boarding passes for a journey between Glasgow, Manchester or Liverpool and London and they will swap them for a first class ticket.
I will certainly take them up on that deal – as soon as I have twelve hours to spare on a return journey (incl. travel to the station). I usually print out my own boarding passes and rarely keep them but I am going back down to London this week and will hold on to my pass this time.
Stand by for a post on a) the horror of modern British rail travel and how I didn’t get into London until 6pm or b) the stress free and joyful experience of gliding through the UK countryside while glowing at the thought of how I had just shaved a smidgen off my carbon footprint.
