I just had a coffee with MediaWeek; no, the magazine not the staff – although I was in a Starbucks approximately 50 yards from its publisher.
Anyway, I notice ITV is adding Holidays Reunited to its Friends Reunited family. The social networking site will let people get in touch with friends (Spanish waiters? Greek playboys?) they met on holiday; according to Friends research there’s a definite gap in the market.
No doubt there will be more of an emphasis on friends than holidays but I am equally sure that, apart from advertising slots, there will be opportunties for tour operators to construct reunion packages on the back of it.
