Brighter new year; new Business Life opportunities

by Neil MacLean

Happy New Year everyone! The beginning of 2007 brings a new challenge – and not just our storm force winds – as I begin working with the Brighter Group in London as their director of new media.
The Brighter Group includes one of the best known travel PR agencies in the UK, Brighter PR, spear-headed by Debbie Flynn, likewise one of the best-loved and most-respected people in the travel PR business.
Brighter New Media, a distinct product offering, will help  travel companies be found and trusted online, will monitor and protect their reputations and help them find new and exciting ways to converse with their markets.
This project is going to be really exciting and I will always be on the end of the phone/email if anyone wants to learn more about it.
Handily, this news coincides with my latest feature in British Airways’ Business Life magazine about protecting you online reputation. The headline – Beware the Bloggers – wasn’t mine :-)

Thanks Stephen
Now that I will have more relevant, interesting and, let’s hope, original travel 2.0 stuff to blog about, I should probably get a funky new wordpress design like yours.

Looks like I’ve stumbled upon a good resource here. We ‘think’ we’re working on something special here which we’re aiming to launch middle of year.

It’s travel 2.0 in its attitude, not because it has any travel 2.0 bells and whistles such as Google Maps (it may have).

We’re planning to open something up that has thus far been closed and turgid (if you know what I mean)

Congratulations Neil!

I’ve been reading your blog for the last couple of months. Along with common ground in new media in travel I’ve enjoyed your thoughts on WordPress and its many plugins.

Cheers
