Google blog alerts: quick on the draw

It took Google Blog search almost exactly half an hour to notice my last post and send it out as a Google Alert. Not quite as fast as sending content out directly in an RSS feed, but almost.

Hi Alastair!
The thing about Google’s blog search is I am not pinging them in any way. They just seemed to find that post really, really quickly yesterday. Possibly installing Google Analytics helps.
