Southwest invites customer-created video ads

I love the idea of getting your customers to create advertising for you but, let’s be honest, they need encouragement. You could probably count the number of diehard fans who will promote you for nothing on the fingers of a single sloth. And that’s only if you have an exceptionally popular, heavily evangelised business.
Like Southwest airlines which has more vocal fans than, oh I don’t know, the "world’s favourite airline".
Southwest recently launched a competition to generate amateur video submissions (via YouTube) on the theme of  getting away from it all.
There are only two entries so far - and one of those is an ineligible employee submission - but have a look anyway. The lure here unsurprisingly is a short break with the airline.
If Southwest’s fans don’t rise to the bait, either the reward isn’t sufficiently valuable or the whole idea is busted.
