Illegal BBC clips on Revver
February 17, 2006 by Neil Maclean
Steve Rubel just pointed to a new video-sharing site called Revver. It’s like YouTube but with advertising.
Upload a video, Revver adds a commercial at the end and if viewers click on the message you share the revenue.
It’s fun but they really need to make their copyright regulations tighter to avoid legal trouble.
Here’s a snippet from their FAQ:
You can submit any kind of video you want, as long as you’re the creator.
Interesting. I’ve been on the site just 10 minutes and I have already watched three illicitly-uploaded comedy clips from BBC Scotland.
